School Calendar Makeup Days

Dear Families:

 

There has been a slight change, regarding our make-up days due to Hurricane Sandy.

The Department of Education (DoE) will not approve bus or food service for Tuesday, April 2nd. Therefore,

school is CLOSED on Tuesday, April 2nd.

We have added one day to the end of the school year, instead. Monday, June 24th is now the

LAST DAY of school, with 1pm dismissal."

 

Here is the updated calendar:

 

Friday	February 15	1/2 day with 1pm dismissal.
Monday	February 18	School remains CLOSED.
Tuesday	February 19	School remains CLOSED.
Wednesday	February 20	Full day of school with 3:15pm dismissal.
Thursday	February 21	Full day of school with 3:15pm dismissal.
Friday	February 22	Full day of school with 3:15pm dismissal.
Tuesday	April 2	School is CLOSED.
Friday	May 24	School is CLOSED.
Monday	June 24	Last day of school.

Dear Families:

 

As you know, we missed 5 school days due to Hurricane Sandy and its impact. As we legally need to have 180 days of school, these days do need to be made up at some point throughout the remaining part of the year. While NYC Schools Chancellor Walcott officially called for President's week in February to make up those 5 days, our calendar will be a bit different.

Tuesday	February 19	School remains CLOSED.
Wednesday	February 20	Full day of school with 3:15pm dismissal.
Thursday	February 21	Full day of school with 3:15pm dismissal.
Friday	February 22	Full day of school with 3:15pm dismissal.
Tuesday	April 2	Full day of school with 3:15pm dismissal.
Friday	May 24	1/2 day with 1pm Dismissal.

 

The last day of school is still Friday, June 21st.

Application Deadline

The application deadline has passed. All applications received after March 31, 2013 will go into our waiting list. You can apply online, drop off your application in-person in the main lobby of the school, or mail your application.
